Dawson Partners, a specialized investment manager focused on providing structured liquidity solutions to the alternative asset class, announced completion of fundraising for Dawson GP Finance 1 at US$400 million, exceeding its US$350 million target.
With the close of GPF1, Dawson has raised over US$11.7 billion in commitments since inception in 2015. It has deployed US$16.4 billion across more than 180 transactions. The team has more than doubled in size to 131 professionals in under two years.
We are delighted to announce the final closing of GPF1 above our target. As the private markets continue to grow, we expect to see sustained demand for liquidity solutions
GPF1 was established to capture the growing market opportunity for general partner liquidity solutions. The Fund received commitments from institutional investors including leading global insurance companies, pension plans, financial institutions and investment managers.
GPs are increasingly seeking ways to access capital outside of traditional sources. We are pleased to be able to meet this need through our flexible structured solutions
Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Goodmans LLP served as legal counsel for Dawson and GPF1.
