TORONTO, ONT, January 8th, 2019 – Dawson Partners (“Dawson” or the “Firm”), a specialized investment manager focused on providing structured liquidity solutions to private equity portfolios, is pleased to announce that Leah Boyd has joined the firm as General Counsel, Rob Gavin and Sean Connor have been promoted to Partner and the organization has now grown to 28 professionals.
Prior to joining Dawson, Leah spent over 10 years in private practice at Goodmans LLP, a leading Canadian law firm, most recently as a Partner. At Goodmans, Leah maintained a corporate and securities law practice with a focus on private equity and mergers and acquisitions. In her private equity practice, Leah advised institutional investors, private equity funds and family offices on a range of matters, including fund formation, investment activities, secondary transactions, acquisitions and divestitures. Leah also regularly advised companies and boards on matters relating to corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Leah holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Economics from the University of Toronto.
