TORONTO, June 3, 2025 – Dawson Partners (“Dawson” or the “Firm”), a global alternative asset manager focused on providing innovative structured solutions to the private markets, is pleased to announce four senior hires on its Asset Management team.
Kate Malcolm, Chuck Sandilya and Paul Shopiro join as Senior Principals and Rishi Minocha joins as a Principal. Kate and Paul are based in Toronto. Chuck and Rishi are based in London.
“Since our inception, Dawson has been relentlessly focused on building scale. We see scale as an enabler and we believe that as we have gotten bigger, we have gotten better. That we are more resourced, more informed and more sophisticated in large part due to our growth. We see scale as a differentiator in this market,” said Yann Robard, Managing Partner at Dawson. “And yet, to scale successfully, one needs to be able to hire the right people, with the right mindset and the right experience. We are excited to welcome these four seasoned professionals to the team. Four individuals we see as having all the key ingredients to be successful at Dawson.”
“As we have continued to scale, we have been thoughtful in the buildout of our team. Kate, Chuck, Paul and Rishi each bring a unique perspective and a strong track record to Dawson, and all come from well-established and sophisticated organizations,” said Giorgio Riva, a Partner at Dawson. “We believe they will contribute meaningfully from the outset given the depth of their experience, the breadth of their relationships and their culturally consistent approach.”
“In all we do at Dawson, we focus on our culture. It’s not just what we do but how we do it that gives us great pride,” said Rob Gavin, a Partner at Dawson. “We believe all four professionals are culturally aligned with our focus on delivering for our investors with an emphasis on partnership, performance and integrity. Staying hungry but humble. And winning as one team. We welcome them warmly.”
